Christopher Weston (1979- ) is a pianist, composer and educator. He made his concerto debut at the Barbican Concert Hall when only 16. Christopher grew up in High Easter, Essex and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Clare College, Cambridge and the Royal College of Music. He has performed in major festivals and venues throughout the UK and abroad and regularly features on BBC Radio. Christopher is pianist and co-founder of the Triptych group, and a collaborator with ensembles such as The BBC Singers, The Prince Consort and The Soloists of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
An experienced educator, Christopher taught musicology at Cambridge University, free composition at the junior department of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and piano at Felsted and New Hall Schools. Christopher’s lyrical songs have been featured at The Bath International Festival and his jazz inspired dance works can be found populating the syllabuses of Trinity College and Online Music Examination Boards.
