Elegy
Composer: John Frith
Catalogue no: CM042 | ISMN M-57034-042-2
Bassoon and Piano
John Frith's Elegy, written for Graham Sheen, has musical substance, a demanding piano part and bassoon writing which, while idiomatic, requires the technical fluency and expressive control of a mature player. The sense of tonality is strong and the musical language, while containing no surprises, has character and individuality. An excellent recital piece.
